Filippo Brunelleschi

This is a picture of his first architectural accomplishments. Its called the Ospedale degli Innocenti,or the Foundling Hospital. It was an orphanage in Florence. He started building it in 1419. And did not finish it until 1439. It did not officially open until 1445.

The Foundling's design was based on Classical Roman, Italian, Romanesque, and late Gothic architecture.
