Filippo Brunelleschi

Filippo Brunelleschi was born in 1337. His father was Brunellesco di Lippo, an Italian lawyer. His mother was Giuliana Spini. He was the middle of three children. Later on in life, Filippo had enrolled in a school called Arte della Seta, the Silkmakers Guild. It was a school for goldsmiths, metalworkers, and bronze workers. Even though he was lacking in those fields, he became a master goldsmith in 1398. After all of that, he had succeeded in building the Ospedale degli Innocenti, or Founding Hospital. Then came the Cathedral of Florence, the Sagrestia Vecchia, and Santa Maria del Fiore. All of them made a big difference on the world. Even after his death in April 15, 1446, he still has an influence on the world.
